All over the world, people desire to see God. Not through ideas or beliefs, they’ve had enough people “telling” them they need Jesus. They’re desperately seeking someone like you, to show, encourage, inspire and bring hope to their own life. “How,” you ask? By being transparent about what was actually going on in your life when you collided with the Love, Mercy and Grace of Jesus Christ. Your voice can do that. You story can make a difference.

A Successful Story:

1,000 Ways to God story is an inspirational, transparent true story about ordinary people divulging the circumstances surrounding their ultimate decision to ask Jesus into their heart.

Our lives are the story. But without the story being told, our life is nothing more than a blank canvas. It tells nothing. Shows nothing. And reveals nothing.

They are personal and often filled with heart-wrenching emotion and drama. They are filled with vivid images, carrying the readers into the life-changing moment.

Our stories are written in the first person and have a setting (Where you were when you realized you needed Jesus), controversy (The push and pull of religion and life), climax (The “why” moment. Why you said yes and how you felt and what changed) and resolution (How your life has been impacted since your decision to follow Christ).

What’s so impacting about this type of story? It transcends all races, ethnic backgrounds, gender and even religions. If someone hasn’t ever accepted Jesus, it shows him or her that their not that different than you and I at any given moment. If they have, it reminds them about what Jesus said in Revelation 12:10, “And they overcame him (satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony . . . “

Guidelines:

-   Our goal is short stories. Please keep them around 1,000 to 2,000 words.

-   Keep them in the first person.

-   Please proofread and make all attempts to be grammatically correct. (Although we’re not the best either . . . So just write from your heart).

-   No sermons, thesis, theology debates, or religious points of view. Our goal is to tell our story and let the people decide for themselves.

-   All stories should be non-fiction and yours, not hearsay or someone else’s story.

How will we tell your story? 3 Ways . . .

1)   Right here, on the website. In our blog. On our story-page, for the world to see.

2)   With the help of some awesome and creative filmmakers, your story could be chosen to use in video format. A 3-4 minute synopsis of you, your story, your inspiration, for others to see.

3)   In book format. Along with other stories like yours, we are going to publish a book. If your story is chosen, we will have you work directly with Christian Freelance Editors, to ensure your story meets the qualifications for traditional publishing. You will receive $100 upon publication of the book, plus receive five free copies of the edition that your story appears in.

When you submit your story to us through our website, you will receive an immediate response that we have received it. This is the confirmation that your story has been delivered and accepted into our submission process. It is the only acknowledgment you will receive from us.

It can be a lengthy process for us to determine how to use your story. Please be patient, as this is an important, yet time-consuming process. If your story is chosen you will be notified and your permission to print it will be requested. Please know that we never publish anything without written permission from the author.

Please do not send us any book manuscripts, unless through a literary agent, as these will be automatically discarded.
